The Sun Cities 4 Paws Thrift Store’s Annual Fashion Show: A Celebration of 10 Years of Style and Support
The Thrift Store’s Annual Fashion Show celebrated its 10th anniversary. What began as a small event in a Sun City West room has since grown into one of our most popular and well-attended events with over 120 attendees.
Each year, the thrift store volunteers, the board of directors, spouses of the volunteers, and volunteers from the shelter put in countless hours to make the event fun for all while keeping the goal in focus to raise money for Sun Cities 4 Paws Cat Rescue. Of course, there is always a theme and this year was “An Afternoon in Paris.”
Volunteers model outfits that were directly sourced from the Thrift Store, along with donated items for the raffle prizes. Jewelry was all set up for sale that was donated through the year, along with one of our more recent additions, the Silent Auction, which featured artwork & jewelry.
We want to recognize not only the models but also the food preparation team, the servers, and persons involved with the Paris decorations. We had a MC and photographer donating their talents. There are so many people involved and not enough room to individually name them Of course, Maria Gilmore, Ellen Straney, and Jeanette McClennan have spearheaded this event since its conception. Thank you to everyone as this was the most successful Fashion Show as over $10,000.00 was raised to help our cats and kittens get the care they need and find homes for them.
We thank all the attendees and your generous donations to help us reach this milestone. Please enjoy the pictures and the memories they brought.
Thank you to Peoria Subaru for including us this year in our second successful Subaru Loves Pets event. Their grant of $4000 helped prepare many kittens for adoption!

Happily Adopted!
Hello, I adopted a little black kitten named Hoku from your rescue a few weeks ago and wanted to reach out and give you guys an update.
He has been an absolute delight to have around the house. He now goes by Hogarth, or “Hoagie,” and while it seemed rocky at first introducing him to our first cat Rory, they are now inseparable.
I’ve provided some pictures of them together and wanted to say thank you for allowing me to bring little Hoagie into my home. ~ Nicholas C
Cats Available for Adoption
Mama Arizona was found in a stray colony and she was pregnant! She was brought to 4 paws and she had 4 beautiful, healthy kittens and now it is her turn to find a loving home. Mama is 1 ½ years old, a little shy, but as sweet as they come. She loves to play with wand toys and climb cat trees. Make sure you have a ledge or the tree near the window as she loves to bird watch also! If you would like more information on this beauty or come see her and others, contact our Peoria location at 10807 N. 96th Ave in Peoria Tuesday-Saturday, 10am to 3pm or call at 623-773-2246 during those hours. We also have more adoptable cats at our Youngtown Adoption Center at 11129 W. Michigan Ave., Suite 1, same days and hours, and you can contact them at 623-876-8778 during those hours, and lastly, at Surprise PetSmart located at 13764 W. Bell Road.
Hi! I bet you are wondering about my famous name, Nikon. I was given it as I am such a handsome, picture perfect boy! I am a 3 year old brown/gray striped tabby and so loving! I love to be pet and play with wand toys. I was left at 4 Paws, so I can't tell you too much about my journey up until now. I do not like other cats. I am curious and like to go to the door, so please watch for me when you open the door. I am looking for my forever loving home. Come and see me at Youngtown Adoption Center. The address is 11129 W. Michigan Ave., Suite 1, Tuesday to Saturday 10am to 3 pm. You can call for more information at 623-876-8778 during those hours. You can also see more cats and kittens that are available at our Peoria location, 10807 N. 96th Ave Peoria, same days and hours, and their number is 623-773-2246, and lastly, at Surprise PetSmart located at 13764 W. Bonded Pair Kittens/Cats
We currently have quite a few bonded pairs almost ready for adoption and wanted to bring attention to the benefits of getting a bonded pair.
They provide each other with comfort and companionship
They are more likely to thrive if they can remain together in their new home
Having a friend means they can take out their play aggression on one another instead of you!
Kittens learn by observation and will more quickly pick up skills like grooming if they have another kitten or cat to teach them
All of the bonded pairs below will be available soon!
